While exploring this page you will note that many times, the Sun placed together with the Moon, split in two parts. This represents the idea of complementary dualism found in the Andean worldview, understood as two opposite beings which are in need of each other to create balance and stability. In this case, the dualistic relationship is between the Sun (male) and the Moon (female). Both, in the Andean worldview are important deities, the “God Sun” called Inti and “Mother Moon” called Killa.

En este caso, la dualidad es entre el Sol y la Luna, ambas deidades muy importantes en el mundo Andino, el Dios Sol (Inti en Quechua) y la Madre Luna (Killa en Quechua).
